Ristuva 406 m

As I answered Mette’s comment to my
"GREAT EXPERIENCES IN MY OWN NIGHBOURHOOD"
my links dissapeared, and some of my answer became a little meaningles
Her comes the answer,- with links:
You find Ristuva at Averøy, on the north west coast of Norway. Our paths start at Vebenstad, in the middle of the island. There is a parking place near Bådalen skole. Going back to the main road you turn left to find the shortest and steepest path, and you turn right to find a longer one. The paths are mostly used by locals, so they have no signs and they do not exist on any maps. However, they are well used and easy to follow. The start might be a problem, but find someone to ask! If you want to enjoy the nature and the wiev this trip will take you 3-4 hours +/-.
There are no guided tours to places like this, but if I am at home when you arrive, I will be happy to guide you! From spring to autumn I visit Ristuva several times a week:-) In our area we have a lot of places like Ristuva. (I will show you some of them when/if it stops raining) At KNT you can buy a map called Kristiansund 1: 50 000. That is a map showing a lot of hiking routes in the area, and it also describes some of them. If you like the combination sea/mountains, Averøy is the perfect place! We have no big hotels here, but a lot of cabins near the sea.
