West USA/ Canada trip
Back in the Netherlands again after three weeks of visiting friends and outdoor activity in western Usa and Canada! Not everything took place in the west however… I started off with a friend of mine in Indianapolis. Indiana is not the most exciting state of the USA, but we did a dayhike in Brown County which was interesting.
After that, i took off to San Francisco and travelled north, to Portland, Seattle, Vancouver and Whistler. And the national parks inbetween ofcourse! Went camping in Larrabee State Park, close to Bellingham and the US-Canadian border. Good walk through green and lush forests, but very, very wet!
Canada was great. Blue skies and cold, and SNOW! Unfortunately, there was no time for a real mountaintrip, but there were some nice walk and ofcourse lots of skiing around!
It turns out that i will be climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in June this year, and after months of officework, i need to get in serious shape again.. so that’ll be the next step for me!
